There are certain "no-go" areas as far as children’s toys are concerned. There are considerations to make for each age bracket. For example, Children under 3 years are very likely to put small bits into their mouths. Those folks know a lot about these things and are charged to make sure companies comply with certain rules. They often recall some toys based on user’s feedback. Avoid any toy that has been recalled.

Check the toys you’ve already bought from time to time to ensure they’ve not been recalled. If any is recalled, be decisive enough to destroy it even if it is your child’s favorite. There will be pleas and protests but you should know how to explain to your child that you’ve just discovered it is unsafe for him or her. Put your foot down. You know what’s at stake here.
